Cheshire Ring or Four Counties Ring?

We tied up at the Anchor on Saturday night, then at the Cross Keys, Penkridge on Sunday eve & at the Star, Stone Monday night.

 

A reasonable mooring 1-2hours north of Etruria is at Red Bull pub / services or up on the moorings by the aqueduct on the bottom of the Macc. Alternatively the south portal of Harecastle Tunnel is a nice quiet tie up.

I agree they are nice moorings but assuming you have a deadline for getting back to Etruria to hand the boat back you would be gambling on getting through the tunnel early enough. Much safer to get through the tunnel the day before and have your last night south of the tunnel.
