For those interested in a few "Bentley facts" heres what you can still see today.

Wednesfield junction is intact and moorings, top lock stop planks are still visible (and presumably working).

Neachells lane bridge is intact although not obviously so, a accommodation bridge is a garden feature in TATA steel stockholding yard. In Willenhall one road bridge is complete near the former David Bakers wharf whose entrance towpath bridge is still obvious but on private land. There are the t studs of Joeys poking out of the scrapyard soil (if you dare to ask to see - very tough area). The one lengthsmans cottage stands at the site of the lowest Sandbeds lock in Clarkes lane, in the cCounty Bridge estate behind Willenhall Cemetary is one complete but underfilled bridge. The Junction with the Anson branch is still in water.

View from Fibbersley towards Wednesfield, a place where wonderful wildlife once existed, as a child you caught moths and butterflies and the canal teemed with life.

The Bentley was and still is my favourite canal. RIP.
