How green is my Beta?

Does anybody out there have the RAL reference/ product name for 'Beta engine green?

I would like to touch-up the damage caused by topping up the anti-freeze without my specs on (duh)

I asked Beta what (red) colour N Bear Nest's engine was...and they sent me half a litre of it FOC...you could try your luck!

I am pretty sure that its "mid Brunswick green".

 

However if your engine is old it might just be deep brunswick green.

Certainly in the case of the JD3 there was a change from deep to mid, but I do not know about the other engines.

I know this because we purchased a replacement JD3 "bare engine" from Beta and the colour did not match that of our old gearbox, header tank etc etc so I had to respray the engine.

Beta did not appear to know about this colour change.

I suppose its just possible that the previous owner had resprayed the engine but I doubt this, the older Beta literature appears to show the darker green.
