Outboard won't start

There's a chap whose outboard refuses to start and he's stuck opposite me. Does anyone know an engineer near Cowroast who could sort him out? He's tried several people, but they're not interested in outboards. I know nothingabout outboards, but I've established there's no spark. It's a Yamaha 9.9.

NSI - Neutral Start Interlock - makes sures its not in gear.

Some have an overheat cutout - has it got hot - let it cool down!

one of our workboats has a yammy the stop button has a small clip that has to be in place otherwise it won't start, also acts as a safety cut out.
