Converting MCA to CCA

Hi there, I have access to a Midtronics Battery tester as used by the RAC but to use it properly you need to put the EN number or CCA rating for

the battery on test. Marine batteries are rated at MCA which is calculated at a different tempuratue to CCA. Any ideas ?

Multiply the MCA number by 0.77 to get an approximate CCA

Hi, are you just after getting a status on your marine start battery?

I'd be very interested to know if the tester in question can provide results for marine leisure batteries, especially when you have to enter CCA details.

Cheers

Thanks for the info NB Willawaw. With regard to testing the Leisure Batteries. Yes as they are the dual purpose type. I think the tester needs

the CCA so as it can work out the percentage charge and I assume if it is below a certain figure it tells you to change the battery.
