What's in your First Aid Box

I get the feeling there is great confusion here about whether we are talking about "First Aid" (what you need in an emergency) and a medicine cabinet to make you feel better.

Yes, I agree, however, on a boat, sometimes some distance from medical care (not emergency medical care, but the chemist, doctor, etc) it helps to have some useful stuff in your kit.

Cling film, as has been mentioned, is a must to cover burns and wounds on the way to A&E. Also bag of frozen peas incase a bit of anatomy has to accompany the patient. Avon Skin So Soft is great for keeping away the mossies. God knows what's in it but the b(l)iters don't like it.
