colin loach
Hi All. I have just read about a water proof primer from tool station at £25 per 5 litres also a black antifoul for the top coat. I am going to paint the hull. I think the paint is by Flag. I don’t want to use Bitchaman on the hull, as it comes off so quick. Does anyone have any thoughts? Colin

Colin If you want to put anything other than bitumen on you have to remove every trace of bitumen to start with- grit blast in other words. If grit blasting then put on a 2 pack epoxy pitch like Epidac. It's about £35-45 for 5 litres and needs two coats, so is probably cheaper than 2 coats of primer followed by a top coat or two of antifoul ( which may not work in fresh water, and isn't needed anyway).
