BRITISH WATERWAYS ANNUAL MEETING

 

The 2011 meeting will include a review of the year as well as focusing on British Waterways’ transition to charitable status in England and Wales.

 

It will include an opportunity to meet the Transition Trustees who will share their views and experiences of the transition process and be followed by a series of presentations from BW specialists and guest speakers on key aspects important to the success of the new charity. Each presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

 

Information about BW’s activities in the last year is documented in the 2010/11 Annual Report & Accounts.

Boat: There are short-term moorings in the vicinity. Please contact the local BW office on 01827 252000 for further information.

 

Train: A 10 - 15 minute walk from the New Street Station or a 10 minute walk from the Moor Street Station

 

Road: 4 miles from J6 of the M6. From the M6 at Junction 6 (Spaghetti - Junction) to Birmingham on A38 (M). Turn left at the Junction for DARTMOUTH MIDDLE WAY and LAWLEY MIDDLEWAY. Turn right at the roundabout after the railway arch - into GREAT BAR STREET. Turn right into Fazeley Street. The BOND is on the right.

 

Parking: A 5 minute walk from a pay-and-display car park on Heath Mill Lane. Situated at the corner of Digbeth High Street, opposite The Custard Factory and next to The Old Crown pub.

That bit on fundraising on your site is interesting.Having seen how much money the people raising the funds get there is likely to be precious little left to give to BW.

 

As I have said before, its not my site (it belongs to Fuzzy's favorite forum member :rolleyes: ).

 

The figures quoted are also not mine but the consultants advising BW and Defra's.
