I like a Norman/Callumcraft 17 with a fly bridge. Very stylish boats and in the modern forward thinking spirit of the golden age of leisure boating.

She looks a very tidy boat. Who took the photo? and was he/she stood in the water?

 

30 years ago an elderly couple I knew (very good friends) spent 3 months on the Lancy living on one of those. That was many years before the Ribble Link was built and they had the boat trailed up there........... they had a great time.

 

I'm sure it wouldn't suit most people these days, but canals can still be enjoyed with a small boat and minimum mod cons.

It will sleep 2 (very good friends )it has a 2 burner cooker and sink,so a weekend away is possible and I will be doing this year.
