Air filter for 1.5 BMC

Can anyone recommend a suitable air filter assembly that will fit my 1.5 BMC engine, bearing in mind the intake is directly below the Bowman heat exchanger.I guess a suitable extension can be clamped on to clear it...so would an ordinary pancake type be OK ? In case you're wondering...no...it's been running without since I bought it, and its time for a recon, so will be putting it back together in the proper manner!!

 

Also....bear with me....should I have a water trap somewhere, there isn't one of those either and both the lift pump and the filter bowl contained a significant amount of water when I dismantled them.

I am sure ASAP supplies can supply both items - have a look on their website. asap-supplies.com. I think their type 3 or type 4 air cleaner will do.

 

I would suggest their type 302005 CAV water separator plus the regular use of a fuel additive. In my view you do not need to by expensive US imports.
