I changed the oil and filter on my isuzu 42 using hdi multi grade 10.40 by mistake i put 1 litre of morris suprem 30 in to take the oil up to the dipstick line. do i need to change it all again including the filter. rover220 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 itll be fine, if its at max on the dipstick you have 5 litres of the correct oil in there so that will dilute the supreme 30 easily. i would however bring forward the next planned oil change just to be safe. Smelly Posted August 11, 2010 Report Share Posted August 11, 2010 I've heard it said "don't mix oils" and the one time I did tip 2 litres or so of Isuzu oil into a Morris can I then poured a horrid snot like mess into the engine. Possibly as.the Morris's stuff had been sat around for a while it had emulsified. However peace of.mind dictated a flush and change just to be.sure.
