bluewarrior567
Hi Once we,ve had the boat blasted, we obviously need to paint her. Would you recommend bitumen or coflex on the hull? Has anyone a good recommended paint which they have used either as a primer, undercoat or top coat. What is the best paint to use on freshly blasted steel? Cheers

Cheers I'd use Craftmaster paints - everytime They are expensive - but excellent quality Are you painting the boat yourselves? - If so - have you considered going on a short boat-painting course (Phil Speight does one regularly)
kitman
You need to get something on there quick before it starts to ginger. If the whole boat has been shotblast you might aswell put a two pack primer on there, for instance Blakes EPU. For the hull you could use an epoxy pitch system from a firm like dacrylate, speak to their technical section for advice.
Radio-Ga-Ga
It depends on your budget, working conditions and your own abilty if its got to be DIY, given the opportunity to start from bare metal I'd forget boat paint or any synthetic and go for 2K acrylic, but you need to be experienced with vehicle spraying, or know somebody who is, and is willing to do it. Whatever paint you choose, you need to be ready to get it primed quickly.
