Firefighters rescue man from canal mud

Firefighters rescued a man who was stuck in mud in the Leeds and Liverpool canal.

The man got into difficulty after going into the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at Pollard Lane in Bramley to fetch his dog.

 

Fire crews were called to the scene shortly before 6.30pm yesterday.

 

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Is this the 3rd canal rescue round these parts recently?

 

Pollard Lane is where The Abbey ph is I believe. I'd recommend the Red Kite they have on at the moment
