Automated account validation emails

Is there a problem with the site email address sitehost - canalworld - net. I reported a problem a couple of times some days ago but never received any response?

 

It appears that the site automatic ‘validation’ email sending mechanism isn’t working.

 

If you change your email address, or open an account, the ‘system’ never sends out the validation email so you don’t have the ability to send PMs or to post messages so without a contact email address, there is no way to resolve the problem – a sort of ‘chicken and egg’ situation.

Humm, i have to admit i wasnt aware there was a problem with the email system. How did you join and become validated youself?

 

- Seems to be a constant steam of people succefully joining, but if you had problems i will certianly look into it.

- Can you given any further information about your problems and others, eather here of via PM to myself.

 

There is a bit of a problem with the site email, if only becuase it doesnt get checked enough, so will look at geting that setup so that i and the site crew are more directly contactable outside of the forum sytem.

Hi Daniel,

 

I have an account under the name of Nemisis. I updated the email address on that account last weekend and the system informed me that a validation email would be sent to my new email address. No validation email arrived. I had the system re-send me the validation email a couple of more times but nothing arrived.

 

I emailed sitehost@canalworld.net a couple of times to try and resolve the problem but got no response.

 

In the end, I set up a new account but it also failed to send me the validation email.

 

I emailed you at the address on your Emily Anne web site but it appears that the address is no longer valid? In the end, I emailed Graham (Alnwick) and he sorted my new account (Jim and Paula). The old account (Nemisis) is still locked out.
