Mary 1
I have been trying to trace this nb builder, I found there advert in one of the old yellow books, canal world[i think it was called] 1987. I was told they became M & N nb builders. I am interested to find out more, how many they used to build etc, I have a very fancy brass plaque under the cratch saying M & M . Just would like to know more about the build they did etc thank you. Mary

churchward
As Hamsterfan says it has been covered. Although a search using "M&N" or "M&M" seems to find nothing, typical! Anyway here is a link to the previous thread. http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php...st&p=361958 this was covered last week by this forum the company started as M&M, became M&N and also traded as Spirecraft they traded from Unit 52 Broughton Industrial Estate New Ollerton nr Newark they built around 50 boats in the 80's early 90's try Jim Sheads website for a bit more (type in your licence no. and the rest should display) and I haven't confirmed this bit but I think the went out of business mid 80's kev I expect you meant 90's when they went out of business. I suspect the same as you don't seem to see boats made by them after about 1995 although I have seen one claimed to be 1997 but this could be a brokerage "mis-print".
