Doe anyone have a Pettter PJ3 - If so, what revs does it tickover at?

as low as you can get it so it doesn`t stall when selecting gears

it cuts out below that. any ideas?

prop fouled, blocked air intake, fuel filter, oil ok thats the first to check,,next check to see if all the injector pumps are working (theres a spring inside them and they are swines for breaking) check the fuel linkage between the byrce pumps is free and not sticking you might need to take the linkage out to do that making sure you put them back in the same place pull the ends they should go back on there own

PJ3 in a boat is like putting an edgehog in your bed WHY? they are dumper engines loud and noisy horrible lumps of scrap that will vibrate the poor old shell to bits
