Summer moorings

Hi i was talking to a friend last night about mooring in the country side and she told me that 3yrs ago they were given a summer mooring just like a winter mooring,has anyone else heard of this i know i havent.

No me neither, I've heard of winter moorings but in the summer CCers should be CCing.

You get them on the Witham (which is closed to navigation for the winter). In Boston for example, the only narrowboat-friendly 48 hour moorings are let out on summer moorings (and not available in the winter of course) which maked the concept of "48 hour" seem somehat redundant

I suppose they could have found a marina that had space for them for that time? You could argue that I had a 'summer mooring' when I left her for a month at a BWML marina last July.
