colin loach
I all. I have bought a sailaway from Liverpool boats in grey primer; I am now ready to paint the outside. There are some pimples of rust coming through the primer in patches. What sort of paint do you recommend from start to finish for hand brushing? Many thanks Colin. ChrisPy
your first problem is the rust that's developing. There were several recent threads on this: http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php...c=16117&hl= http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php...c=15978&hl= http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php...c=12666&hl=

Colin i am a decorator by trade and we use this stuff a lot for rust killing/prevention and as a conditioner in the paint itself as it makes it easy to handle in the brush/roller without thinning it . Aids keeping a wet edge open if the weather is warm and just makes the job easier and more enjoyable . http://igoe.ie/cms/images/stories/downloads/OwatrolOil.pdf http://www.bosuns.co.uk/store/showpartnumb...tNumberID=85870 not cheap but you dont need a lot as by the sound of it its just a bit of spot priming and then add some to the paint Steve.
