I had considered taking SWMBO and her Jack Russell, Toby for a long weekend on a boat as she's never been boating before. I thought about hiring from Trevor so we could go up to Llangollen and nip back just to cross the Aquaduct twice before leaving the boat. Plans were coming together until I had a nightmare and woke up sweating and panicing .. I'd dreamt that Toby had run through the boat, out on to the front deck and jumped off the boat.. Unfortunately, it was as we were crossing the aquaduct, and he'd jumped off on the wrong side ! Plans are currently on hold !

 

I'm on Chirk marina, so probably cross the accy a dozen or so time a year. I always tie the dog up below before I cross. The fairy ring on the playing field was standing out really nicely last weekend - really vivid green.

 

apropos of the wobblies, My mrs, who has done all sorts of silly things in the mountains, still gets very twitchy if I hang over the side for a better look. There's something about the suspended artificial nature of the setting that makes it feel much more insubstantial than on a via ferrata or similar
