Nothing official but it looks like it will be several months before an end to end navigation will be possible.

 

Remember though the Yorkshire end of the canal is unaffected, most people believe that side to be nicer anyway.

Yeah . . it looks like a bloomin big job from the pictures!

The latest information I have from BW is that there is a possibility that the canal may be closed at Chadderton for the rest of 2005.
