The Harecastle Tunnel is believed closed today (Good Friday) due to an unexploded bomb found near the south portal. Nice start to the Easter Break.

According to BBC News, the 'bomb' was discovered yesterday, turned out to be part of an old gas lamp, and the cordon round the area was removed.

Good news. Got a feeling the weather will cause more problems than any bomb could this weekend. Glad I'm not going out till next Thursday, bet the sun will be shining by then.

We'll still be having a wonderful day no matter how badly Macc lose, Ian! I'm from Kent (but I'm actually Welsh) and Dave is from North Manchester. Macclesfield is just the place we've ended up living in - for now
