Reedley & Galgate Marina review?

Is anyone here currently on Reedley Marina or Aquavista Galgate Marina, We are seeking reviews?

Seen some online, some very old etc and we are seeking unbiased and up to date comments.

Well we left Reedley about 4or 5 years ago. I would say go and visit , walk round and chat to some or the moorers. That's what we did and what they said was pretty much what it was like. It's a nice marina with reasonable facilities.  The bar/cafe alternates between good, ok and closed.  When we there it was a mix of leisure and liveaboard boaters. We left because we bought our own mooring further west. Unfortunately in recent years the l&l between skipton and wigan is closed if there are two weeks of dry weather and we got fed up of it. That said Reedley sits in a 22 mile pound so even when the locks are closed there is still some cruising you can do.

For me it is nicest marina /mooring between Wigan and the outskirts of skipton.

 

Can't comment on Galgate marina, think I took a grp boat out there a few years ago and it seemed OK. With a lot of grp cruisers IIRC . Problem with the lanky is its well a bit boring... Once you've done it a few times....
