good morning ,i have a 48 foot narrowboat   would a petter av2 be enough power on a river like the thames

It's rated at 13hp @ 2000 rpm, so by today's standards its a bit on the small side. But in practice it should be fine in normal conditions, but you would want to stay tied up if the river is up.

i want to cruise mainly on the canals but its nessasary to to go on the thames and a few other rivers  for connections
