It all depends on the boat -- going "gas-free" on its own means having a big inverter and battery bank -- probably lithium -- and/or a built-in generator, all of which is a *very* expensive way of getting rid of a gas stove.

 

OTOH if you have an electric/hybrid boat you have (and have paid for!) all these already, so electric cooking (with no gas bottles or regulations) is "free" and makes perfect sense... 😉
