We came through Netherton tunnel this afternoon and there was a thick fog like smoke in the middle which I couldn't see through. When we got to the end there were a number of used fireworks on the towpath so I presume the kids had been firng then in to the tunnel.

Now moored at windmill end there have been some very loud bangs so they may be firing more in to the tunnel.
