We stayed in the Basin for 3 nights 2 weeks ago we had no trouble there were security chaps coming round late evening, great shopping centre, lots of rubbish on the way in spotted rats swimming accross at one point, the canal was closed at Nuneaton on the way out because a body was found luckley we had already passed through, would certainly go again,The Ashbys well worth a visit
Yes Haggis!we have been a member at Sale Cruising club for about 9 months,we have made lots of friends and join in with all their cruises etc.we formely owned a 30 foot boat called Longford and had great fun in that.
We are the proud owners of a 40foot trad narrow boat called Monty so mind out all you boaters on the Bridgewater and when we go down to Coventry in the summer
no not one little bit he had replaced the sqirrel with a calergas stove, none of it seemed good, true a lot had been fitted into the 30ft space but its not for us
I am very pleased to tell you all that we have got our heating going and we were able to go on a cruise to Lymm this weekend. We found that the holding tank for the anti freeze was completely empty we could not tell what colour was used so we filled it with blue hoping this was right, after tipping in about 3 litres we were hoing it was enough as it is hard to see the measurements, low behold it did a bit of gushing and rushing but after it had settled down there was no noise at all and we had it on all evening so many thanks for the imput you all sent(I have printed it all off for future ref.)
