  4. Well you seem to have been happy enough with dressing up in the VP! on Fridaaay I think we all ought to see the REAL Chris in his panto outfit! instead of just a virtual one in the VP. Bazza doth protest too much, those shoes are without a shadow of a doubt his! He only told me that they were his daughters to stop me from stealing them! they are just wayyyyyy cool! We could do a deal Bazza, if you let me borrow them for that nice little 'do' at the Trocadero next week then I will let you borrow that pretty little silver clutch bag which is a very close match for that 'private' function that you were telling me about Brill to see the pics Dave and thanks for acting as chauffeur! (if there is a next time though it might be nice of you gave some thought to a uniform, you know black tie and a cap you can doff when opening the car door for me) ok I am going before I stir up any more trouble

  6. I am so glad you did Bazza! I wondered what I had missed out on for a moment there! I managed to cadge a lift there with Dave (aka ST170DWL) and having made our way to the beer tent at the allotted time we looked round and having seen no suspects we went to buy a drink anyway. I was very surprised to see no real ale and then a thought crossed my mind......... there must be another beer tent! out came the program and we soon found the real beer. Having persued the available beers I decided a half of Mad Cow might be a suitable drink for me (on call so could not drink properly!). Dave then ordered a half of 'old cow' That one wont get forgotten in a hurry! Later when I went to buy a drink I spotted the drink that was of course most suitable for me 'Petite Blonde' LOL! It was great to see all of you, so sorry to hear about the foot being broken, I hope it mends reaaly fast and does not give too much pain. I am still officially 'on call' as bump is still just plain bump but that may chance tomorrow! We managed to catch up with Baldock and then went off in search of Maffi. As I left the site I realised that I had no idea where I had put my ticket and had to remove just about all the contents of my handbag and search mutiple pockets to find it infront of a rather bemused security guard (well I had to make sure I would be allowed back in didn't I!) This then turned out to have benefits, Maffi was stuck on his boat awaiting Bones arrival with his ticket. I knew the security guard was likely to remember me and as Maffi did have a ticket and was just awaiting its delivery (well thats what he told us ) I was able to give Maffi my ticket stub and wander back over the bridge with Dave. Upon seeing the security guard I exclaimed quite loudly as I looked at my multi pocketed bag 'Oh no, which if these pockets did I put that ticket in now' and he waved me past! I do remember a comment about it being useful to have an Essex girl with you at a show!!!! I have the ticket stub that Maffi handed me back once safely inside so I need to frame that for posterity now I think. I lost Maffi in the crowd so was unable to say bye to him so if you are reading this Maffi I hope you do not think I was ignoring you!
  7. Yes there are two of those in a Day Moley! (see the time of this post) The best part of the day for cruising too! Cannot wait to read the cruiselog

  9. Just catching up with this thread after returning from hols. I was thinking of going to Crick for a day and it seemed that I stood a chance of meeting up with lots of you on Saturday. Bones ..will Maffi still be there all weekend or is he also there on Sunday like yourself? If Bottle is also going Sunday then (as I can go either Saturday or Sunday) I would like to choose a day when I stand a chance of bumping into a lot of friends! Doubt I will be drinking though as I will be driving home! Am I right to presume that now there is likely to be a mini banter in the beer tent at 12.30 on EACH day! sounds a brillian idea to me!
  10. Wow, It does sound as though they are having a great deal of fun even if it is more of a challenge than a holiday! I remember Wigan flight well! it was a killer! Moley please send my regards to them, I was away myself when Janet started the thread! I cant wait to hear all about it and hopefully see a few pics too

  24. I can sympathise with you! I have been forced into a situation where I had to rent for 7 years now and in that time I have twice had home moves enforced upon me through no fault of my own. I considered the option of a boat good and hard and that is where my heart lies but I would need a mooring close enough to work to make it an option that would work for me and as they are as rare as hens teeth I have given up the idea of a boat I wonder why you do not want to go down the route of shared ownership? I had considered this and was going to go for one (my circumstances have changed and I can now 'just' afford a modest flat on a mortgage) Whilst I can fully understand your desire to be on a boat if you are simply doing so from a finacial point of view you may well find there are some surprises along the route which will be expensive ones and if you were to go for shared ownership then at least your 50% share of your home would keep pace with the rest of the housing market.
  25. Never been there! as it is my local (from work) I better try it sometime!
