  11. I do appologise my reply seemed a little sharp,I really need to stop working nights. No the whole process of selling the house is dragging on a little longer than we both expected,it went on the market last September and we have just made the second price drop so fingers crossed now. Shaun.
  12. I am well aware that the house has to go before the boat is purchased the question was a rough guide to how long from offer to it being mine
  13. Hi we are in the process of selling our home and becoming live aboards, but what I wanted to know is what time scale are we looking at,In an ideal world from paying a deposit, all well with a survey, to hand over.I know this isnt a set in stone process but just a rough guide would be most helpfull,as we have to stay with the outlaws from sale of house to purchase of boat, and to be honest as much as I love them the prospect of living with them for more that say a week is filling me with dread. Any experiences woulld be most welcome
  14. When the wife and I finally sell this lump of bricks and start our new life living on the water I know we will be heading south to look at the three brokers that have been mentioned on here,I have heard good and bad reports about all three which I will have to take on board when we actually travel down to have a look.I will also be looking around brokers up this end of the country also, and one never knows our dream home could be 10 days cruising away or just around the corner, but which ever it is I will enjoy the whole process.................................even the sleepless nights
  15. Thanks to all for the replies at least we now know it can be done. Shaun
  16. Hi can any of you good people out there help me out.I have been looking at buying a boat as soon as our house is sold(hopefully this century) and was wondering how easy would it be to change from a bubble diesel stove to a solid fuel. The boat that I have been looking at has one of these bubble stoves and its own tank, but we are looking for a solid fuel stove and wondered if we could change it,and would it be difficult.
  17. That made so many people smile including me
  18. I can't decide between President,Kildare or Laplander I would of spent all day just looking at these three if swmbo would of allowed it. I'm glad we chose to go on the Sunday though instead of the intended Saturday,as the weather was much better on Sunday.
  19. Myself and the other half will be there this Sunday still getting ideas for our new future on the water as soon as we can sell the bricks not having any joy at all so who knows could still be on dry land this time next year if it isn't sold, both getting very inpatient now.Hope to see some of you there on Sunday
