    yeah it did smart. im cringing as i write, when i think of if the blades had been nice and sharp but chances are the accidents wouldnt have happened. my mate stubby just planed one finger down to the nuckle on his lovely new expensive 12"planer, ouch, the numpty

    a similar device for my planer thicknesser would have saved a couple of finger tips, and a bansaw blade through the nuckle isnt much fun. but i give my tablesaw and radial arm saw the utmost respect. (im sh~t scared of them) blunt blades caused my accidents (+ a tad of stupidity).

    i was quite happy to get a visit from the police when i was painting the outside of my workshop at 2oclock in the morning with an anglepoise lamp for light. a neighbour had reported strange happenings, fair enough. i was gratefull for the chat, broke up the boredom. if they had turned up half an hour earlier when i had a big fat spliff hangin out my mouth i may have had a different oppinion of their meddling. ahh those were the days.

    i got the impression that Doorman was relaying information told to him, i may be wrong. surely its better to have ten false alarms than one housefire.

    is this the only safe way you can pick a fight with a doorman, he might just sell doors. im sure he and everyone else will just ignore anything suspicious now, unless it affects them directly or theyre prepared to investigate further without asking for any assistance in case theyre mistaken and may offend someone.
