I think most Boatyards & Marinas will continue to sell Red diesel but with a big sign next to the pump saying we only sell diesel for propulsion.

We are considering buying a self pumpout kit due to the rising costs and the very few B.W. pumpout facilities.I would very much appreciate other members views on the advantages and disadvantages or any other problems they have found when using these kits.Many Thanks.

I took my very first narrowboat holiday about 5years ago on the Monmouth & Brecon canal with Brecon Park Boats.In the 20 or so miles from thier wharf to Brecon you will experience most features of canals including locks,electical opperated lift bridges + hand opperated bridges,tunnel and aquaduct.It is one of the most scenic canals in the country but beware of the bug I caught the bug on that weeks holiday and it got into blood.The only way I found to control the "bug" was to take early retirement and buy my own boat We now take 7 or 8wk. cruises to keep it under control and are enjoying some of the most enjoyable days of are lives.It all started with a week on the Mon. & Bec. so give it a go you will love it.

Can anyone tell me is there a battery topup system that will stop pouring when the correct fluid level is reached.It is impossible to see the levels in my batteries due to the lack of head room.Iam use a mirror to see the level when toping up but this is not very accurate.

Can anyone tell me why hatch covers are sometimes decorated with the card suits. i.e. hearts, spades,diamonds, is it traditional or just decorative.
