I think there is lots of information on their website with regards to when and how many trip boats are operating per day on the certain day you want to go.. it is worth having a look. It is also worth mentioning that from my experience they have closed an hour early which was very frustrating.. we managed to speak to someone and their reasoning was that 'there are not many visiotrs about today'... splendid i thought!

On the topic of people who have no hope.. This is what really gets me.... i see some people who have brilliant brains and could go so far in life.. but they just can't be bothered.. it is sad!

It makes me sad that these people have nothing better to do than getting a thrill out of beating someone up.. it's stupid and certainly doesn't do the younger generation any good. There are quite a few people like that I know in a town near me.. and it just suprises me how they don't care what grades they get or what they end up doing.. with me I've always had ambitions and have got out there and done something about it.. like recently going on a millitary flying course. *mini rant over* Anyway. I'm not a violent type but if I ever saw yobs beating a guy up I know who I would defend.

I have not actually used one but the people I've spoken to who have them think they are pretty good and effective to a point.. but only when there is win!! lol. As Liam said.. I dont think that it would have the affect of not making the new post light up. If you log out. Delete your cookies and log back in it should be fine and nothing will have changed.. because the board will have put its cookies back. I delete mine all the time just to keep things 'clean' and tidy

Hmm that is interesting!! Personally, whilst not able to say from an admin point of view, i would say that it is because Jon forgot to allow the comment permission in May.. thus the button is not showing. Just my 2p worth!

Hello guys, Firstly I apologise for any ill feeling that may have been caused by myself and adam for including a link in our signature and also any ill feeling towards this thread.. although obviously we were not the topic starters. Firstly, JustCanals is not a commercial website.. it is non profit making and we take a small amount of money from amazon book sales and an advert on the homepage.. which go towards the costs of webhosting and software applications. The fact that adam and myself have had a link in our signatures is, in my viewing of the rules, within the rules and allowed however I have decreased the size and I have asked Adam to do the same.. although I would like to point out that yes, a link was added so people viewed our site.. but surely that is what everyone puts links in their signatures for? I had no intention of trying to get up on the google ranks by posting a lot on here... 1) i dont feel it works that way with forum systems and 2) there are a lot better ways to get high up on the search engine rankings. I know I have had a bit of history with this a few years ago but now this time I felt I was perfectly within the rules and I had no contact what so ever with the topic starter. I *really* don't want to argue about this and cause a fiasco so I am requesting that the topic gets locked.

thank you very much Effectively it is like starting a new forum system... but we have the advantage that we have the knowledge of how to run a forum.. and we also have a few members from our old system.. apart from that everything is totally fresh :-)

hi, JustCanals is not a new forum.. the overall site has been going since 2004. I have just moved to a new forum system, that is available so it looks new.. but we have the old one at /forums/ which is officially being shut down on the 4th june. Adam has just joined the site crew so he, myself, kelvin, rose and chris run it together. Why.. because some people like to be different :-) and even though this system has only been running for a few days.. it is proving very popular already.. with new members.. not just our old ones so hopefully it should take off again like our old one did. We make sure that everyone feels welcome. :-)
