  1. Your shooting yourself in the foot matey. Nice section there all about Deities is there not? What is a Deitiey? Not to diferent from what a Spiritualist would call someone who has passed over and communicates with, something atheists believe in also. So to call a spiritualist a weirdo is a bit like calling yourself really isnt it? Oh well never mind.
  2. Oh how I wish all Atheists were as straightforward as that!
  3. I never said Spiritualism was not an offshoot from the Christian church! The fact its an offshoot represents that it is not a part the Christian Church now. Atheists believe in Deities which dosnt really set them that far apart from the weirdos you mention, but thats Atheists all over they use whatever argument that suits themselves which speaks for itself. Probably why they need a good sense of humour in order to laugh at themselves.
  4. Do you wish to expand on that? You are trying to make a point when you have kind of missed it probably due to your own ignorance of what being an Atheist actually means.
  5. Isn't Spiritualism a wierdo offshoot of the christian church, where the man up front pretends to be talking to dead people? Why would anyone confuse that with Paganism? Lol oh dear now I need that pint! No Spiritualism is very similar to those other wierdo's who believe in Deities!
  6. As Val said, shut up and have a pint! Janet Why should I shut up? Is it because im not playing everyone elses game? Banter is one thing but some of the comments ive read go beyond that and if I feel the need to raise issue I will. Thank you.
  7. No im not a Pagan but the ignorant would label me as one as im a Spiritualist.Patrick trust me in my experience you are in the minority. Dont quiet get the ''get a life comment'' but I have one thanks and dont feel the need to pass judgement on the practices of others.
  8. Not to mention that moorings are needed by functional boats.I know after working across the way in the boatyard that the people doing this work are not skilled wooden boat builders. When is someone actually going to lay down some hard facts detailing what makes a good quality hull? They are all flat bottomed skips at the end of the day being dragged through the water. If you want to talk about hull performance then a Springer will move better through the water than any bespoke flat bottom skip! Does that mean Springers are a better boat?
  9. I dont think Muslims would tolerate such insults or Christians and see some of your comments as picking on a seemingly less popular although huge religious lifestyle. If only all other Religions kept as quite as Pagans there might be less trouble in this world.. Hes from Runcorn oh well bless him
  10. Just a thought about Stretford. We were talking to a boat fitter on the Bridgewater last week and a narrowboat passed with its roof full of wooden boards. My Mrs asked what they were for, I said to cover the windows he said they moor in Stretford! Todmorden is lovely.
  11. Im in a similar position to yourself although we are looking at a 57 to 60 foot sailaway with a few extras like wiring looms installed. We have been quoted by Liverpool boats 23000 for a sailaway cruiser with sprayfoam insulation trad front with bow flairs. We are thinking of the semi trad now though for a little extra. So 7 grand or there about will be our budget. I love the way people keep mentioning the fact their are lots of unfinished projects around I just wish they would show me where as I have seen about 1. The 45 foot mark seems to throw up a hell of a lot of boats though i must admit.
  12. Hi and welcome. We looked at one of those Aqualines very nice inside. Im sure the shell is a Liverpool shell isnt it?
  13. Yeah you are right our dog slips a bit and has learnt not to be a tear away in the house and kind of tip toes around. The plus is its easy to clean swings and round abouts really.
  14. A bit off topic but what about wood? At £2 for 55kg sack of round log cutoffs. How long does wood burn for? Obviously im not in the know.
  15. The Peak Forest is only dodgy really nearer to Manchester. If you was willing to pay for a mooring I know of two places charging £150 a month.
  16. Ignorance is a bad thing and certainly no laughing matter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paganism

    Inverters

This is all really confusing me and worrying me despite reading old threads ect.
  18. Denis your boat looks interesting do you have any pics anywhere?
  19. One thing that worries me is at home ntl claim i have to pay for the year of the remaining broad band contract if i cancel. Although i have been with them for a year i didnt actually renew with them and only signed up for a year initially. Can they do this or are they just trying it on? Something else to bare in mind if you are paying £30 on a mobile contract some firms are offering a free xbox 360.

    Inverters

    Inverters

I must admit i would prefer to use a generator to charge the batteries as they can throw wobblers would this be a good idea?
  23. Akward one that Snibble i must say. If you get angry with them then it can come back on you but if you dont do something you suffer.

    Inverters

Im looking into inverters myself and having no end of head scratching thoughts. I write music as a serious hobby using a couple of synths and a drum machine and dont want to ruin them by using a dodgy inverter. If I want to live on a boat im going to have to though so would spending around £500 on a pure sine wave give me a quality electric source? I was thinking of getting a Sterling inverter. Another thing that worries me is how long can I run 100 watts of power while the Mrs is on her laptop or watching tv or both. How do I work out how much time i can get from batteries before I need to recharge them? I ask this as when writing music I can be doodling away for hours.
