  1. would anyone know what problems would arise from running an engine at intermittant speeds for prolonged periods. Which components of the engine would be the first to fail.
  2. Would anyone recomend the Lister LPWS4 (Alpha range).? the engine is 40Hp at 3000 rpm producing 100Nm torque at around 1500 Rpm. Lister also offer a 5 year waranty.
  3. Hi currently have the same problem with my eber hydronic d5, although not blue smoke but white smoke. Blue smoke sounds odd as thats usually the exhaust produced through the burning of oil for example in an engine. white smoke is often due to incomplete combustion and black smoke for over load. saying that i'm not sure why these units seem notorious for producing excessive exhaust smoke and hope to have mine serviced next week. one thing i wonder is that i fitted a silencer last month which has a drain hole in the bottom for condensation, and hence blows a steady stream of exhaust into the engine bay. Maybe this is entering the unit and effecting the combustion. andy
  4. bringing both quality and triton boats together, can anyone offer any advice regarding the quality of Tritn boats. i'm currently buying a 1995 57ft John white / triton with lombardini. have heard mixed reports from surveyors / brokers and would be grateful to hear from any owners.
  5. Hi Am buying a 1995 57 ft John White / triton with a lombardini engine. Have spoke to several surveyors and brokers who are a bit skeptical about triton boats with suggestions of leaking windows and condensation amongs other problems commonly found. The boat i've seen looks quite well fitted out for it's price range and was wondering if anyone has experineced any further problems
