Thanks If the river level goes down below the dry dock it will be a very busy weekend, Just got to encourage the wife to stay on board while the boats in dock.

definately agree! been static all winter, can't use the locks and have been iced in on a few occassions. The Thetford works for us.

going to have to boat in dry dock next weekend! Going to do all the prep work etc, but my questions is: should I put a coat of red oxide on before I start with the coats of bitumen? Yes or no would be great, cus all the answers I get over complicate the issue. Cheers

HI WE HAVE AN ACCUMULATRTANK WITH VALVE FOR CAR PUMP AT TOP BUT WHEN I TRIED TO FIT PUMP WATER COMES OUT DOES THIS MEAN TANK IS KNACKERED?ALSO SHURFLO PUMP SEEMS TO LEAK VERY SMALL AMOUNTS AND DOESNT CUT OUT TILL FEW SECONDS OR LONGER AFTER TAPS HAVE BEEN SWITHED OFF WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO BEFORE REPLACING ANYTHING

Mum and Dad swan had 6 cygnets to start with now only 5. Two families of mallards, one with 7 the other with 9. Coots have 2 babies. Have plenty of Turns, Wagtales - seen a Kingfisher, heard a woodpecker and cuckoo nearby. Also see some adolescent stoats playing (preparing dinner) with a baby rabbit. Definately had a fox near the moorings, cus my jack russell went and rolled in something really nasty - took days and about 3/4 baths to get rid of the smell. Had Red kites flying above the next field along and if I up early enough I see the same owl in the same spot every day on the way to work. The amount of fish is the river is incredible, never seen so many.God I just love living here!!!.

I intended to run as a member of parliment this year, mainly due to the fact that I have a few maintenance jobs that need doing around the boat and it could do with being blacked. The dogs could do with some supplies and I fancy looking into my personal security situation. If I'm successful I intend to pay my son and my mother a wage for licking stamps and my husband says he wants to add to his video library.!!!!
