Will the stove stay in for 24 hours like a fantastic old fashioned morso squirrel? My neighbour has a modern defra approved offering which is no where near as controlable as my morso have all been. I am buying a cottage and hoping its an old stove and not defra approved for that reason but may now look at some modern stuff then. One of the reasons I am selling this fab house is I want a stove for precisely the reason of always having heat.

Personaly I am suprised that you consider the webasto to be the primary heat source, but each to their own. Webasto was my secondary, back up heating. On my 50 by 10.6 widebeam I had a fantastic Masport Fatso, 20 kw multi fuel stove, it was capable of if needed but very very controlable down to a small output if wanted. Big stoves can be utilised to give small output wheras small stoves cannot possibly give out a high output.

No two boats are alike. I bought a boat in 2001 that Peter the owner had owned for 18 years the boat was built in 81 so was 20 years old. A genuine chap who told me it was 6/6/3 construction, a colecraft and he had never had it outvthe water or blacked or looked at for 18 years. We both new it must be fernackered so I gave him pea nuts for it, I absolutely never have surveys. Anyway I took it to Johny Pinder to do hull survey and price up welding and the worst was 5. 7 mm, it needed nowt but I put a bit of rubbing strake on the arse end chines for good measure and had it shotblasted and epoxied. You absolutely never can tell.

Ditto Whilst that is true, life often comes down to being helpful when possible. I always had a day with purchasers of my boats and we are at present writing notes for the people moving in to our house ( hopefully lol) Daft bit helpful notes of for instance how to swivel the windows so the outside come inside to clean etc etc. I will also leave my tel number for any questions like I did with my boats.

The reason its brilliant is it is based on the real world lol. In our ancient village as kids we did not have mains sewers until I was 8 and many houses had no indoor toilet or bathroom and certainly no central heating 🤣 todays kids would report parents to authorities for child abuse

We had a motorbike and side car when I was young, when I was 8 years old we got a bathroom with a water closet and mains drainage 😊
