Hi iam on a 70ft 2ft 8 inch draught done the Llangollen last year did spend some time with the barge poll found it hard work but managed to get to Llangollen basen.

I have four 125 amp semi traction batteries plus starting battery a 1000 wts of solar on the roof just fitted them will see how they workl lfp is in my solar generator and 400 wts suite case for that but for the winter will charge it with a petrol generator takes one and a half hrs from empty to full I think it's a good set up for off grid .

I have As regards to to power banks solar generators many boaters have them now and the new ones have lfp batteries I use mine daily didn't even think whether it would invalidate my insurance.

I know of a few boaters who have fitted these there very cheap to buy and very efficient I wonder what the BSA take on these.

Thanks for all the information guys iam not tha technical iam lucky a friend is on the YouTube blog I watch he set it so when his leisure battery dropped to a certain level that was set it automatically stopped heating the emerson so not to drain them will look into it more.

Lol 11 but about the lfp battery it's a big problem all the electric cars use them and the new narrow boats dont know the answer.
