  1. I agree with the last comment.In narrow locks my boat probably isnt going to move much in either direction. However I am single handed and I do like to throw a loose rope around a bollard.Just in case. It is always easy to be distracted.I like to know where the boat is.!!
  2. No it should not be banned.but I agree it should be used very rarely and sparingly between those hours.I have used mine late at night once or twice only. When we have arrived at the boat late and cold and the girly on board has been cold and insisted it be on for half an hour or so.

    If you call it a residential home and claim it as VAT free.Would you then be cheeky enough to put it non a non residential mooring. Knowing that residential moorings are few and far between in many parts of the country.
  4. Can confirm the full time keepers on the Wigan flight are doing more maintainance and painting work this year. The two seasonal staff are working Wednesday to Sunday. Monitoring the water levels and giving assistance to boats wherever they can. They may not always seem to be available but there are 21 locks over 2 miles and cant be with everyone all of the time. I found them very helpfull.

  6. Can anyone tell me what the bandage is called used to wrap the hot exhaust and prevent me burning my arm whilst fiddling with the engine. and a northwest supplier would be usefull. thanks.
