    These 44` boats from china. Read in press lately they were that size to fit into a container for shipping. Anyone got any links to who is selling them as i would be interested to know the price and spec. Just curious as i am happy with mine. LES

    Sorry can`t help as i do my own service. If you ask on the forum stating what area you are in someone will suggest a good place. LES My engine is vetus 4.15 and i have used the following oil filters COOPERS Z1129 CROSLAND 2163 FRAM PH5317 MAHLE OC196 Hope this helps LES

    A week ago up on the Leek arm of the Caldon canal Bw put up signs warning of the algae that was faintly visable at the time. 24 hrs later the whole section was covered in green algae. I posted a pic on my blogsite. LES

    If going via Little Venice i would not re-comend stopping on Paddington arm overnight from greenford into Little Venice. I was born near kensal grn and worked the whole area Greenford to L Venice for 20 years till xmas last and have seen and heard of some horrible things. Ok some might come back at me and say they moored o`night ok but i say it `s a high risk area why chance it. LES

    Well everyone thanks for the replies but really Bio is NOT the answer. We must protest to our MP etc. I do agree with the comment that we don`t get road users benefits ie lighting, roads de iced so why should we pay a tax towards what we don`t get so lets mention that in our protest letters. LES

    I am a c/c and do a blog WWW.BOATLIFE.BLOGSPOT.COM and have had a comment left saying it has just been announced that as of 31/12/2006 boaters will pay as road users while farmers will be as now. Am i being conned or has there been some news i have missed. Maybe this annon comment was a jelouse car user. If no news at present can anyone tell me when it is likely to be decided. LES

    As all votes would be annon` how can it cause trouble.Just thought it would be interesting to know what types of boater read and post on the forum. None of us would know who voted what so where`s the harm or am i missing something. LES

    I would like to see a poll on what members class themselves as, ie CC/BRIDGE HOPPER/PERM MOORING etc . After so much discussion on these different types of boater lets have an HONEST vote as to what each of us classes ourselves as, or should that be WHAT we are NOT what we class ourselves as.     Have just had my boat signwritten by a lady who had a stand at the crick show. What i was wondering being new on the cut is how much should an average job cost. Mine has been done at rear both sides of course and just name on bow in plain letters. LES
