  2. Just sold ours through Rugby Boats, took about 3 weeks for a good offer and all went smoothly after that.

  7. happy birthday

  8. There was a fair gap at the winding hole and I turned a 60ft round there without a hint of a problem. I am sure you could have turned a 70ft fairly easily. It is always fairly tight everywhere when rallys etc are on.
  9. Hector was originally a GUCC boat hence the name Hector even though it was a butty, there were I think a few GUCC boats bought by A Wander.
  10. yes that would have been me that sent them or somebody I sent them to forwarded them to you as I have that photo or actually several photo's. that was at Crick where the garden centre is now near the marina. they were cut in half in the water the winched out on the side. I ended up finding out what happened to both boats in the end unfortunately both are now deceased. We do have a couple of bits of Lysander still though.
  11. My Grandad owned bought Hector in late 1958 from Braunston before it was burnt and scrapped, then cut it in half at Crick to make 2 pleasure boats, becoming Hector and Lysander he owned Lysander till around the early seventies, Lysander was section 8'ed and broken up at Tarleton in 2002, Hector was section 8'ed and broken up at Uxbridge in 2000.

    Big Ricky

Yep, thats what I reckon as well, it certainly was earlier in the year anyway.
  13. He broke in by breaking one of our windows a few years ago, almost certainly was him as he has a specific way of breaking them. he will get no sympathy from me when I catch him. Apparently he is fond of wine and batteries but there were none of these on ours when he broke in. He also breaks in through hatches as well and has been known to target boats again and again, he also likes to get caught around christmas time as it gets cold and he gets a nice warm bed over winter.
  14. I race RC Cars and use a Sanwa radio with 2.4ghz spektrum module&receiver, eliminates interference and glitches. Best move I ever made and you can get modules for most of the more expensive radios. If anything should go wrong it also shuts itself down to a preset safe condition.
  15. The pulley size must surely make a difference as well, as you want to see engine speed not alternator speed?
