sorry the programme was called cook on the wild side but it was on the canal in a boat

happy birthday Debbi and many more of them ive just been out on motorbike and when i signed in i noticed birthdays im glad i wasnt to late all the best .

its a good job they didnt otherwise we would be digging it out again and costing us thousands :lol: But it is funny how we can get different perpectives on things and unfortunatly our own perspective is our own reality

this picture i found interesting as my wife is called Elizabeth and my daugter Lorna were this boats a pair does anyone know and is there any other pictures of them :lol:

sometimes we never talk to the people we love very much,even possibly idolise.Fathers for example were always at work you respected them and possibly for a lot of your life didnt respond how you would have wished to your comments. It would sometimes maybe be huh huh emmm or thats lovely darling or what ever fond name they had for you, but rarely ever gave feed back.But sometimes if you try later in life ,when they wonder what they missed you can have wonderful chats, because they have time .Which are similar to my memories, but later in life my relationship with my father was totally enriched with the conversations we had about his life and times . So keep going and youll find out things about yourself and your father that will amaze you because once gone its never going to be repeated, passion is the most important part of being happy pass it on :lol: :lol:

im wondering what things i will have walked or sailed past and not even known they were there whilst heading for some other feature i always find things that you find by accident much more interesting . So what are the things youve stumbled across

When i was 16 i started my apprenticeship in a workshop at the junction of kings road and canal road it had a back door that opened on to the disused canal and we used to play football on it one we were eating our sarnies and i found a silver matchbox of a man with a big nose and a bent top hat and have always wondered who it used to belong to .It would be great if i could get into a time machine and give it back to its owner and talk about the canal his life and job .i have tried to find pictures of this part of the canal and have never had much luck any idea

what a sight to see so many boats working it would be nice to see that come back again

maybe what we should do is ask BW to charge the same for everyone :lol: not have any moorings as such :lol: then to decide if we stay in one place we kick each other in the broadlocks ! until one of us falls down therefore not open for discussion or we should do as we agree to do on what licences we have and stop trying to blame everyone else ;) If we have on the canals a sect of people who live under special circumstances because of history age or whatever then viva la difference because thats heritage

we were travelling about 2 years ago between Arizona and SanDeigo which passes past Boulder they have a wind farm there and that is something to see it goes on for miles we got out to look and it was very quite really

i think the welsh did the same in australia but give everyone enough time and im sure everyone will have had a go and then we can just blame everyone else alphabetically and still not sort owt out but lets just protect the things that we can the canals and the good nature of the people on it the only nation on earth humans :lol: :lol:
