I have a Victron 50 amp charger that works fine on the landline, but goes straight to float when I switch over to the generator. Any ideas please.

I have this on my current boat and it stays in line quite well.

What do you mean? The difference is, it stears in reverse the same as going forward. You can put the brakes on and still steer the boat. What more could you want from a steering system.

Hard to explain. I have a tube around the prop that turns on its axis.

I’m going to tell the builder to go ahead with the 43. I may need to do some prop research because I don’t have a rudder.

Good morning. Would I be better off with a smaller engine to push a 65’ narrowboat, or should I go with the more powerful model. I’m thinking the 43 would be sufficient. Thanks.

I could get a wider panel but I want it in front of my rear sliding hatch. If I go any wider then it would foul my centre lines.

Good afternoon. I want to install a solar panel. I only want 1 and I’ve got space 1500 x 750 on my roof. Any recommendations of make and type please. I only really need it to trickle charge my batteries but if there’s any left over I’ll grab it. Thanks.

My fault. Just a polyvee belt. I was unsure of the correct term.

I’ve been in touch with Victron UK and told them about the issue. They have asked where and who has spread the “devious and outrageous” (I made that bit up” comments about the earthing problems. Am I allowed to quote any postings from here?

Jabsco do a variable speed pump that is 12/24. Very quiet but not cheap. Sensor- max I think it’s called.

I am fitting one of these to my boat. I’ve been reading some old threads about Victrons unclear method of connecting to the hull re. Earthing. Does anyone know if this problem has been resolved and are the instructions in the manual ok to follow? Thanks in advance. Steve P

I got quoted £30k for a fully refurbished Gardner. That’s pretty close to what I reckon a reasonable electric drive could be fitted.
