  1. Hi its me again I have R H and i,m not that old, but we are joining you lot of nutters on the cut in May 2008, My way of looking at things is I would rather be bed ridden watching the ducks swim by than be stuckl in some miserable old house in a miserable old street watching Trisha or Jeremy kyle, but until that happens I,ll be livin it up house or not. I'm mad too

  12. Hi we are going to be liveaboards in May 2008, and cant wait, we have been doing our research for over 4 years and finally we have commisioned the boat. look forward to any new ideas and help from all other readers and have thoroughly enjoyed reading all thats on here so far. We are going to be continueos cruisers whilst studying the wild life and writing my memoirs, well maybe a little diary of how its going, we completed our RYA boat handling course last september and I am worried I will have forgotten it all by the time we "set sail" and hello to all the other newbies on hear and hope to meet you on the cut !!
  13. []Hi there I am a newbie I signed in a couple of weeks ago and this is the first time i have replied to anything, hope somebody is still out there and interested in this topic, my husband and I went to Evesham 3 weeks ago to commision our boat which we will be having ready by early May 2008, we have ordered a wonderful boat from Amber boats (yes Amber boats) a 58" Venice cruiser stern. it wasn't until we got back from Amber Boats that day that I actually read the thread on your site, however we were happy with everything we saw, and everything they are doing for us, and there was actually a couple at the Marina that were taking to the Helm of their newly completed Paris that was actually at the Marina and we got to go on board with them. Anyway they told us all about the floods and the problems lots of Marina's had had, however they did not lose any boats to the floods but showed us the waterline way up the side of their floating pontoon. as we drove to our bed and breakfast we saw lots of damage to lots of the shops in and around the area of the bridge houses and caravan sites ruined, and still houses with caravans in gardens whilst the damage is being repaired, such a shame for all of those people, lets hope nothing like that happens again. When I get more used to this site I might add a picture and maybe even one of those smiley things
