Well it hasnt been a nice experiencee for Sue and Vic on No Problem , but reading between the lines , just maybe there is going to be a huge shake up in G O B A and this unfortunate incident , will build bridges between , all of us. Not that we have any axes to grind . In fact since we left the canals , we have been made nothing but welcome, by all.

Oh my , how lucky are we heading for the Bedford River Festival. Having said that, there are some genuinely nice people in Goba , they arent all tosspots. I know we were going to join , but after reading this thread , wont be bothering. How can this man be so thick and uncaring. 2 years ago we had so many people come to us and say how great it was to have so many narrow boats there. In fact they say it every time. Shall we all get together in 2 years time and every narrowboat we can get descend on Bedford River festival . Bet he really would be a grumpy bear then. Just to make his day I have booked a few more narrowboats this time as well. I know he loves them.

We are heading for Bedford as well a bit later. For anyone interested July12th /13th is BEDFORD RIVER FESTIVAL its a 2 yearly event and this year is a special one to celebrate 30 years of running. We always go round and have never yet been disapointed. Anyone interested pm me and I will give you the number to book in. Its well worth it.

Have been informed today , Finch is is custody , after walking in to Daventry police station Saturday afternoon. Guess that means the cold weather is near. At least we can feel a bit safer, when we leave our boats for a while.

We are sitting unlicenced, well no we are licenced but have no disc, after a call today we have been told they are catching up with the backlog and it will be here shortly.

I have one and its brilliant , used it whilst at Oxford as well, Wished I had got it a lot sooner.very easy to set up modem free , when we took it on it was 3 gig a month, now its unlimitedfor £25 per month

Well as an update the gentleman in question has been spoken to , at first he couldnt recall an incident and when he did has now put the blame on BW because as they hadnt dredged his draft was so deep he had to stay central, he said more but as it could be going legal will say no more

there is always the possibility it wasnt the owner on board. Just someone moving it for him just sad who ever it was wasnt up to the job. Another boater has looked at our damage today and was appalled. It is being dealt with and we have all the contact details thanks

fingers crossed we may be in luck. The boat moored in front of us we have tonight found out also had a problem with the same boat as us(thats 4 now) knows the couple on the boat that was following him. They witnessed it and were the ones who said he had hit lots of boats all the while they were following him. He cant remember the boat name but when he sees them will ask them to contact us.
