  1. At last, Here is an appalling copy of a decent enough slide. Picture taken around 1972. I guess the scanner can't really handle it that well, but you get the idea. A similar prow to Tremella I'd say - obviously the HM / AW corporate style. I remember riding on the roof during craning out - I had to keep the slings apart. Also I jumped off a high lock wall onto the front deck and nearly went thro ! Hardboard wasin't what it used to be, even then. The tip-cat on the back was made by Jack James of Stoke Bruerne, tyres by Dunlop of Brum. I don't suppose she's around anymore........
  2. I dare say its a different boat ..... but my parents had a narrow boat in the 70s called Forget Me Not. She was one of the very first of the Harborough Marine / Anglo Welsh fleet. 36', oak over elm but with a steel counter. Converted by the Baker brothers, she was said to be the back-end of a butty going backwards with a new steel back. 2 pot Lister, direct manual gearbox, sea toilet and NO bow thrusters. Happy days Andy - I'll see what I can find but we're talking 30 years ago, the old grey cell filing systems aren't what they were !
  3. I agree with your sentiments, but the actors name is Mark Williams, as in the Fast show, Shakespeare in love and many more.
  4. Does anyone have dates for next year (2008). Thanks
  5. Magnetman I know of a Glennifer DB2 with split barrels after the water froze in the jackets one Winter. The owner would dearly love to get it back in his boat. If you ever hear of any Glenny spares, let me know please. colin.harrison3@ntlworld.com
