    The two pipes I will be changing are fuel return and the one that comes from the fuel tank to the lift pump will also need olives and fittings or salvage the brass fittings of the old pipes

    Going to renew my fuel pipes would these be the same diameter as brake pipe
  4. I only put Wee Ruby on the hard standing because there is a burn that runs into the harbour during the winter months some really big spates come down it two years ago it took three boats and their moorings all were recovered thankfully i wasn’t one of them
  5. Managed to source one from ASAP supplies instead of the three grease groves this one has a rubber insert with groves all round also been told that the prop shaft could be taken out and reversed dont know if there is any truth in this though let you know how I get on

  8. Am I correct in saying that when winterising the gear lever should be left in forward gear gearbox in question lm 100

  11. Managed to get the bush off solid brass one inch by one and a half inch four and a half inches long

The boat in question is a q 18 ft cheverton on a hard standing when I took the prop off with a prop puller i noticed that there was a tiny bit play on the shaft when i gather there shouldn’t be any the engine in question is a lister sr2 with the lm 100 manual gearbox the packing gland was stripped two years ago and new packing in the correct procedure no water dripping from the gland at all as I said only slightest movement up and down side to side

When taking the prop for winter storage noticed a small amount of play on the prop shaft fits onto lister lm 100 manual gearbox read a thread on here that says the prop shaft for the lm 100 diameter is 1.375in are these bearings easy to strip and fit never had to tackle something like this before rather have it done sooner than later also a merry Christmas to you and yours

  17. Hi Tony Oil pressure never moved at all No smell out of the ordinary Oil still shows clean on the dipstick Couple of minutes to tie the mooring lines on turned the key started no problem
  18. Coming back to the mooring today put the revs right down almost idle sr2stopped started first turn when I was going out ignition light went out touch of revs probally a two hour run didn’t go above half throttle carry an aux but still like to know why engine cut out at idle
  19. I shall bizzard you gave me terrific advice on how to make one i have the copper rod and the mecanno pulley wheel just need to find the right sized rubber grommet now

  21. That would be very much appreciated Richard will it have the mounting for the lifting pump as you can see in the pic to the left of the cap thank you for your help

As you know the engine in question is a Lister sr2 marine is this the correct side plate for it it fits perfectly well I acquired a small dipstick from sleeman/hawken maybe see if it fits allthough quite sure that Richard said it was for cement mixer/dumper sure there is a couple of pics of it in another thread I made entitled oil dipstick/dipstick thanks for your help once again mr bizzard
  23. Removed the crank case side plate to drain the remaining oil from the sump where this bolt is screwed on could this be a dipstick holder
