  9. Just had a quick read through Hansard https://hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2019-02-08/debates/5CAB8305-4B47-4A96-968F-B889443BC96A/AnimalWelfare(ServiceAnimals)Bill I couldn't see anything about Army dogs, unless they are covered by 'Service Dogs'? Prison dogs were mentioned as well as police dogs. Will try and find out about Army dogs as they probably suffer the most, it's not unusual for them to have PTS. A fact I read, police dogs have only a 5% failure rate for catching their 'criminal'.
  10. Then they should, and I hope to goodness they are. Think the new law states 'service' animals

  12. Dogs are not so much trained, it's their innate instincts that are brought out or suppressed. Most dogs to a lesser or greater degree would put their handler's/owner's life ahead of their own. Surely it's not too much to ask that their loyalty and bravery is rewarded? These dogs save lives, and not just policemen's lives, I think they should be protected, they are not objects for our use. By saying that, it doesn't mean any other animal doesn't deserve the same respect. I'm a human, not a dog, therefore I think as a human.

  14. Absolutely no animal should be cruelly treated. But we put police dogs and horses into dangerous situations, they don't 'ask' for it, yet they put their lives in mortal danger for humans.

  16. So when a police dog, who's probably had £1000,s spent on his training apprehends a car thief, and the car thief repeatedly bangs the dogs head in the car door on purpose (as what happened a few days ago) injuring the dog, the moron should get no more of a telling off than he would if he'd have deliberately smashed a piece of property?
  17. It is great news. I understand Finn was even allowed to watch the proceedings in the House of Commons today https://www.westerntelegraph.co.uk/news/national/17418766.hero-police-dog-watches-in-the-commons-as-mps-back-finns-law/
  18. Great News! Finns Law has passed through it's 3rd Parliament reading, and is now passed onto the House of Lords! Shame it's taken so long... but there we are. https://www.finnslaw.com/finn-facts/
