Why?

I do comply but there are literally no moorings so the rules are flawed and unreasonable in that they wish to make someone a victim of circumstances that can easily be avoided!Surely adapting the rules by giving more options and charging for those options is better business practice than nonsensical enforcement.

Thanks Dean. Unfortunately CRT need to have a rethink regarding their guidelines as I find myself in a position I dare say other boaters do. I am happy to pay a bit more on my license to stay on the towpath as there are no desirable or suitable moorings a bit like they do in the winter.

CRT have said I have got to get a home mooring if I don't move enough! I want a mooring but there are none available where I am based unless I wish to live in a floating **** in the center of Manchester so this means CRT will refuse my license renewal! What am I supposed to do? Why should I be forced to live somewhere I don't want to live like a marina in a city center? There are miles of empty towpath so why can I have a tow path mooring as there are no other moorings? I was a CC when I first got my boat but now my circumstances have changed.

The moorings down from the trading post shop run by CRT are not residential but most certainly are unofficially,although on that stretch you may as well just keep moving around anyway.

I have recently heard talk of intended use of violence against CRT if they continue to take this line!! A group of boaters have decided enough is enough and won't stand for "Nazi enforcement officers" or business practice by CRT! This new environment of the canal has made me want to sell up and move on its not what it's about for me where people can't just let others be to the extent people want to start beating people up! The canal use to be a peaceful place CRT are ruining it,although I must say I don't condone violence but I equally feel sad that people feel that upset by a system that they are prepared to go to such lengths!

Hi I have a switch and a pump and would like to know how people connect these things up please. I have a fused power cable and the switch has three connections numbered 1 2 3 on the back then I have the pump I have power but can get it switching!
