Hello, the crankshaft of my 1944 Lister 9-1 needs grinding so I have to remove the balance weigts. How did you do this yob on your mates lister some years ago? kind regards Jarne from the Netherlands.

From what I can remember, the balance weight is held on by a single stud/nut arrangement.
The thing that most people miss is the small dowel (sometimes a grub screw) that goes in the side of the web that locks the nut/stud arrangement.
Mark the weight(s) so that they go back on in excatly the same orientation/order that they came off. They are individually fitted/drilled from new and need to go back on the same way.
