We are currently moored at Thrapston on the River Nene. A guy on a large ride on mower has completely covered the boat in grass. He claimed he is working for the sailing club alongside and that he did not realise what he had done. Self employed contractor did not give a stuff. Seemed to have an attitude to boaters. Beware when visiting what is otherwise a good mooring and a pleasant little town.

Where is the cheapest diesel on the Ouse Cam Lark area marina or diesel boat?

Any advice please. I have a mikuni boiler heating hot water via calorifier and radiators. The radiator pipes are teed off the feed to the calorifier, the calorifier gets hot but not the rads. I have bled the system several times and ony got a small amount of air out the first time. Another boater has sugested that the antifreeze is possibly the wrong type how can I check this and any other ideas would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi all question about candy aqua washing machines the boat we are buying has a 1600 watt victron inverter will this be big enough for this machine. Have tried to get power figs from dealers but no success I doubt they know. Anyone got this machine?

Hi advise please the narrowboat we are interested in has a beta 1505 engine with almost 10,000 hours on the clock they claim it has been regularly serviced will it last much longer or has it done to many hours?

Hi we are looking to buy our first narrowboat. We are interested in a 48ft with a beta 37 hp engine. We want to be able to cruise all the system including the rivers . Advise please as to suitability of this engine. Thanks in advance.
