  1. I have 2 leaky windows and do get a little bit of water in my interior but it isn't much and usually resides at the back of the boat ... I have a little hole there which I can shove my hoover down (WET/DRY Hoover) and suck it up..... I usually do this every 2-3 months and get about half a hoover full x x
  2. Question - how do you get solars to heat your water ?? I'm a noob and I'm struggling with my batteries at the moment ... 3 x110 leisures 230 watt solars, 1000 watt inverter just for charging laptop - everything else is 12v (ipad, iPhone etc) I've got LED lights but I do have a 12v shoreline fridge freezer ... Just bought a genny too 2.2 KW pure sine wave one which I use for the immersion, Hoover etc if I decide not to run my engine x x

  4. Its definitely worth doing.... Its not just the stirring tho.. is all the mooring up (learning to park), Rope ties, locks and then the single handed stuff she did with me.... just incase you don't have someone with you etc.... Prices vary if you use your own boat, diesel and your location I suppose ... but its about £80 but I feel it was an absolute bargain x x
  5. I have been a liveaboarder for 2 years and had taught myself and got into some bad habits and often did things the long way round etc but I recently did a course run by Cheshire Cat Training in Nantwich .... The lady who runs the course was absolutely fantastic !!! I can not recommend this course enough ... I'm now a confident single hander and have learnt some brilliant tips and tricks .... If anyone is thinking of doing this course then do it !! Linda was so chilled and knowledgable and even helped me to sort all my ropes out and taught me some brilliant rope tricks !! ???? x x
  6. I paid £25 for my first set ..... £45 is bloody expensive and I have to pay postage on top :-( x x thanks anyway guys x x
  7. Does anyone know where I can get a pair of these from please ??? I bought a pair for my first solar panel over a year ago and they are great but I can't seem to find them anywhere now and I've just bought another solar Any help or other fixing suggestions will be appreciated Thanks https://imageshack.com/i/n74aylj
  8. I bit the bullet and paid £618 for a shoreline fridge freezer - under counter ..... All I can say is it's the best thing I've bought along with my solar panel .... It uses hardly anything .. I have all 12v including TV and I can't seem to flatten my batteries only when I start using my inverter and 240 stuff ....but with the fridge on 24/7 and TV and other 12v stuff like charging ipad, iPhones etc my battery meter doesn't seem to drop below 12.7 after being on the boat all day and night ... I have 3 leisures and I'm a live aboard x x
  9. Hey hey - My 3 way fridge is pants and it's Freaky Friday this week at Midland chandlers... But a few people have said that the new 240 fridges are just as efficient .... So ... Do I buy a 12v fridge or get a A+ one and use the money I save to put towards a genny ?? I have 3 leisures, 1000 watt inverter and an 85watt solar panel ? Thanks in advance xx
